Provides an efficient design for a 1,150-space parking structure located near the cruise line. Ground Transportation Area (GTA) is elevated above grade and includes bus bays and over 800 linear feet of curb area for pick-up/drop-off activity.
BA worked closely with the client to analyze general parking functionality, level of service, and efficiency.
The project consists of a new 2,200-space employee-parking garage for Miami Dade Aviation Department. The project completes the garages
in the central core of the airport and is intended for airline and airport employees. This will reduce time for employees to get to their jobs, as well as bus traffic. The garage will be seven-stories and will be interconnected with the adjacent garage to the west and to the elevated roadway to the South. The primary entrance and exit will be from the Central Boulevard parking plaza.
The project will adhere to sustainable design practices through the Park Smart rating system.
