Throughout his career, Sergio has excelled as both a Project Manager and Project Architect, overseeing numerous projects. His responsibilities encompass various tasks such as preparing fee proposals, managing consultant contracts, coordinating project planning and development, overseeing construction documents, administering construction processes, coordinating engineering efforts, creating schedules, specifying requirements, utilizing computer-aided design drafting, and employing Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques.

Miami International Airport Ticket Counter Remodel E-F, Miami, Florida - Project Manager
The 5,025 GSF project included the replacement of the ticket counters, scales, and LCD monitors between Terminals E and F. The scope of work also included the complete redesign of the overhead ceiling and soffit, lighting, digital signage, and air distribution. The project was phased to allow portions of the ticket counter to remain open while sections were being remodeled. The drawings were completed in 2017. I was the Project Manager working with MDAD on the development of the design and the Contract Documents.
Lake Stevens Splash Pad Miami Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, Miami, Florida - Project Architect.
BA is providing professional design services to develop a park and children’s splash pad on a vacant parcel located in the City of Miami Gardens. The Park is approximately 5.6 acres and will include: a Splash pad with play equipment and peripheral security fencing; restroom building with pump facilities for the splash pad; parking area; walking paths (lighted) throughout the park; and a Picnic shelter.

Bermello Ajamil and Partners (BA) was the Design Criteria Professional for this project. BA assembled a team of specialists, including; Parking Consultants, Structural, Civil, and MEP Engineers, ADA consultants, and Wayfinding and Signage to provide program verification. Working with MDAD and the airport stakeholders, we developed the Design Criteria Package to be utilized by MDAD to procure Design-Build services for the project.
