Doral Cultural Arts Center opens

BA designed the newly opened Doral Cultural Arts Center that celebrates a variety of cultures, arts, and experiences that make the City of Doral so unique. Features include a large art gallery space, a multi-purpose room, outdoor courtyards, and an area for catering special events.

The project’s conceptual design intended to integrate the building into the overall existing park to enhance the overall experience of downtown Doral and its users. The architecture is a dynamic and modern statement thru overall vernacular shape, massing, fenestration, and materials giving the new building its own identity while complementing the adjacent City Hall. The design of the exterior spaces within the triangle parcel creates an aesthetically pleasing and physical connection to the existing Downtown Doral Park that includes sidewalks, furniture, landscaping, and suggested locations for public art.

The project was developed by BA from the schematic design to the development of the preliminary concept design and production of 100% construction drawings and construction management services for the 9,200 square foot Cultural Arts Center and its surrounding park space.

UM School of Nursing & Health Sciences Proposed Expansion

BA News / Healthcare

BA healthcare team provided a feasibility study to expand the current University of Miami School of Nursing & Health Sciences building which included space planning, design narratives, and conceptual images. We proposed creating a 24,000 square-foot, 3-floor expansion while also updating the façades, grade level improvements, and internal layouts. The design language is striking, modern, and in keeping with the UM mandate to populate the campus with contemporary architecture.
