Terminal B accommodates cruise vessels of more than 5,000 passengers, and features new technology to support quicker and more efficient embarkation and disembarkation processes, as well as expedited security screening and luggage check-in. The project features a new adjacent parking structure with covered ground transportation and baggage loading as well as a valet parking area with direct access to the terminal and VIP lounge.
The project was constructed to LEED Gold standards, focusing on innovation in design and facility operation to create a platform that optimizes energy performance, indoor air quality, water use efficiencies and maximizes the use of local materials and human resources. The modern terminal design draws inspiration from a nautilus, with a spiraled and multi-level façade opening to grand ocean views. Innovative lighting, inviting indoor and outdoor lounge areas, and other guest-centric elements enhance the global passenger experience in what is surely a gem in Miami’s skyline.
