The Middle Country Public Library in Centereach, New York was featured in American Library’s most recent issue showcasing the year’s most impressive new and renovated libraries.
Libraries today are more than just book storage. They are really learning centers with computer labs, classrooms, screening booths, art exhibits, information kiosks, reference centers and conference rooms. Using the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment, we create exceptional spaces that enrich people’s lives.
BA’s scope of work which concluded in mid-2022 included architectural design, construction documentation, and construction administration services for the selective demolition and renovation of existing components of the Centereach Public Library, and the addition of two smaller buildings to support required alterations. Modifications included new RFID collection sorting machines and related equipment to improve staff efficiencies and accessibility for library users with special needs, as well as the remodeling of the library’s grand hall.
